Ronit is an accredited practicing dietitian with a passion for achieving optimal health through nutrition
Ronit graduated from the university of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in physiology and went on to achieve both a post-graduate Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiology at the University of Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine (Honours) in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cape Town.
Ronit gained expansive experience throughout the dietetics field from an array of hospitals and clinics around Cape Town, South Africa. She later went on to work at Sizwe Tropical Disease Hospital in Johannesburg before entering private practice. She immigrated to Australia in 2007.
Ronit is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Nutritionist and a member of the Dietetics Association of Australia. She is a Monash University FODMAP trained dietitian, certified ModuLife expert for the Crohn’s Disease Elimination Diet, has completed the Gastrointestinal Nutrition for Dietitians course through Dietitians Australia’s Centre for Advanced Learning and is trained in eating disorders through the Inside Out Institute.
She has over fifteen years of experience managing the nutritional requirements for people with a range of conditions and nutrition requirements. She values the importance of keeping up to date with the most recent research in the nutrition field and uses a holistic approach, taking the clients social, emotional, and medical circumstances into account to formulate not only scientifically based but also individual, practical, and realistic dietary prescriptions for her clients.
Ronit has special interests in gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, food intolerance (lactose, fructose, FODMAP), Coeliac Disease, Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, liver disease, gastroparesis as well as in weight loss, cardiovascular disease (including high cholesterol and high blood pressure), type 2 diabetes, binge eating disorders and vegan and vegetarian diets.
